Residential Deputy Manager - Children's Homes

We are looking for a passionate and proactive individual to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of the children and families we work with. This role provides a vital contribution to the delivery of the high quality care we offer to children with complex needs.
The role will be based in one of our children's homes in Dartington.
We provide ongoing personal development tailored to your specific training needs, including access to the level 5 diploma.
Starting rate at £20.66 per hour
Rising to £22.85 per hour
Overnight is £27.55 per hour rising to £30.47
Saturday is £30.99 per hour rising to £34.28
Sunday and bank holidays are £41.32 per hour raising to £45.70
Deputies work alongside the Registered Managers to ensure effective running of the home to include oversight and quality assurance.
They will support the staff team helping to embed a high performance culture and continually develop their skills so that they can achieve the best outcomes for our children and their families. The Deputy will also lead on delegated areas of running the Home and represent the Registered Manager as required.
As a people manager, you will also be responsible for the allocation and oversight of care within the home, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting the team to identify areas for improvement and decide when to take protective action.
Responsibilities- Support the staff team to embed a high performance culture and continually develop their skills.
- Lead on delegated areas of running the home and represent the Registered Manager as required.
- Champion staff personal and professional growth through reflective supervision meetings.
- Allocate and oversee care within the home, maintaining quality standards and taking protective action when necessary.
- Experience working with children.
- Experience of supervising and mentoring staff.
- Previous management experience desired, but welcome for those looking to step up.
- Willingness to drive with own vehicle, valid UK driving licence, and business insurance.
- DBS disclosure required.
