Residential Conveyancer

A well-regarded law firm based in Cornwall is seeking to recruit two Residential Conveyancers to join their expanding property department. These roles are perfect for qualified professionals with a strong background in residential conveyancing, looking to take on a challenging and rewarding caseload. The successful candidates will play a key role in managing client transactions and providing expert legal advice in the residential property sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a full caseload of residential property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold matters.
- Advising clients on all aspects of residential conveyancing, from initial instructions through to completion.
- Reviewing and preparing legal documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and leases.
- Coordinating with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and third parties to ensure smooth transaction processes.
- Conducting searches, obtaining certificates, and dealing with SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) and Land Registry applications.
- Ensuring that all matters are processed in a timely manner and that all legal compliance is adhered to.
- Providing excellent client care, maintaining clear communication, and managing client expectations.
- Handling post-completion matters, including registering transactions with the Land Registry.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licensed Conveyancer with solid experience in residential conveyancing.
- Strong knowledge of residential property law, including conveyancing procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in managing a caseload of residential property transactions from start to finish.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
- High attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage a busy workload.
- Proficiency in using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
- Team player with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
