If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you.
We are currently recruiting for full-time and relief roles across our specialist residential homes in Perthshire, Tayside and Fife. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support children with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and mental health difficulties, within a beautiful rural setting that emphasises outdoor learning and animal therapy.
Salary: Up to £18 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) plus sleepover payments and overtime.
What's in it for you?- Flexible Rotas: Shifts designed to fit your lifestyle, typically 2 or 3 24-hour shifts per week.
- Financial Perks: Employee discount scheme and unlimited friend referral bonuses.
- Wellbeing Support: Access to mental health and financial wellbeing tools.
- Professional Growth: Extensive training through a dedicated academy, including industry-standard courses and support with SSSC registration.
As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to the values of Acceptance, Resilience, and Empowerment. Your day-to-day will include:
- Holistic Support: Supporting the social and educational needs of children, including accompanying them in classroom environments.
- Relationship Building: Acting as a key worker to provide one-to-one support and fostering nurturing relationships.
- Activity Planning: Developing engaging activities based on the specific interests and therapeutic needs of the young people.
- Care Management: Implementing individual care plans and using positive behaviour management techniques to manage risks.
- Professional Excellence: Maintaining high standards in line with National Care Standards and coordinating with the wider care team.
To be successful in this application, you should:
- Have minimum 1 year previous experience working in a care setting with young people.
- Demonstrate an understanding of legislation, behaviour management, and attachment theory.
- Possess strong communication skills (experience with non-verbal children is a plus).
- Hold a full driving licence.
- Ideally hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or be willing to work towards this with our support).
- Be registered (or eligible to register) under the PVG scheme.
If you are passionate about helping young people reach their full potential, don't delay.
Apply now and a member of the team will be in touch for an informal chat to take your application to the next stage.
Make a difference, one shift at a time.
