Salary G6: £31,537- £34,434 (plus 5% enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties) (pro rata for part time post)

Qualified Starting salary: £32,597

Unqualified Starting salary: £31,537

Post: 1 part time 21 hour post.

Location: Various homes across the borough of Walsall, will be determined upon appointment.

We are looking for people who have some experience of working with children in any setting to join our Children's Residential Services within Walsall.

This role requires you be resilient, resourceful, enthusiastic and motivated to be a positive influence on our children.

All successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a team that provides 24/7 on a rota basis. Shift patterns include weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and sleeping in duties (additional payment).

• Qualified candidates must hold a level three/four qualification in children's residential care or equivalent.


• Unqualified candidates with relevant experience (employed or voluntary) and a passion for working with children are encouraged to apply.

The Role

• Provide direct care for children and engage with them and their families, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.


• Work within a child-centred, safe personalised small group home, promoting children's rights and welfare.

Requirements

• Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required.


• Applicants must declare any periods of time lived, studied or worked abroad and provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) if necessary.


• Ability to communicate verbally with customers in accurate spoken English.
