About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to train at one of the country's leading selective schools, alongside having residential boarding responsibilities.

Working in conjunction with the University of Buckingham, we are looking for an exceptional graduate to train as a PE Teacher through their PGCE programme, whilst living and working in our boarding community. Successful candidates will assist the Head of Boarding with the supervision and pastoral care of boarders during the week and be part of the weekend duty rota.

Responsibilities
  • Train as a PE Teacher through the PGCE programme.
  • Live and work in the boarding community, supervising and providing pastoral care to boarders during the week.
  • Participate in the weekend duty rota.
  • Contribute fully to the PE team and the extensive extra curricular programme, including Saturday fixtures predominantly in the Autumn and Summer Terms.
  • Attend relevant training for boarding duties, such as first aid, good hygiene and additional safeguarding training.
Qualifications
  • Sports related degree.
  • Relevant teaching or coaching work experience.
  • Experience in boys' sports such as rugby, cricket, athletics and football is highly desirable.
  • Experience in running a senior girl's netball team is also highly valued.
