Resident Support Volunteer - BTAS

In partnership with the Bridge Project, Waythrough provides 50 dispersed homes across Bradford, offering homeless single women and their young children safe, secure and accessible accommodation. As a resident support volunteer, you would assist in meeting residents' needs at Bradford's Temporary Accommodation Service (BTAS)
Tasks may include- Deliver person-centred support
- Promote safety, dignity, and empowerment for tenants
- Provide high-quality accommodation that promotes stability, recovery and long term independence.
- Work with Staff to take residents to appointments.
- Be a point of contact for residents' concerns.
- Share any concerns about residents with a staff member.
- Respect peoples' differences.
- Work within agreed professional boundaries at all times and in line with Waythrough policies and procedures.
- Good IT skills
- Good written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to keep a track of multiple tasks and report back on progress
- Non-judgmental towards people with lived experience
- Confident to contact people by email / phone
- Good timekeeping
- Able to work as part of a team, on own initiative and to instruction

- A genuine interest in being part of the mission and vision of Waythrough
Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to Waythrough policies and media guidelines, engage in supervision, and complete relevant training.
