Family Mosaic has an exciting opportunity for Resettlement Officers to join the team based in London on a full time fixed term basis over a 12 month period. You will be on working on a Rota basis Monday to Sunday (8am-9pm) providing a resettlement service to six customers in a shared house. The Resettlement Officer role is offering a competitive salary of £23,000 per annum.

Family Mosaic is implementing a new innovative scheme in conjunction with the Royal London Hospital to provide a medical discharge short stay hostel. The purpose of the role is to ensure that customers can be discharged safely from hospital to the community. Customers may be homeless, asylum seekers or have no recourse to housing or public funds will be provided with high quality tenancy management and resettlement services.
Skills and experience required of the Resettlement Officer role
Applicants should have knowledge and experience of providing advice and assistance on Housing Benefit and other benefit claims, rights and obligations of occupancy agreements, assistance with life skills, ensuring a safe and homely environment for customers through regular H and S Inspections, reporting and following up on repairs, signposting and liaising with relevant support services, and advice and assistance regarding move-on and contact with their local area. experience of working with asylum seekers would be an advantage to become a Resettlement Officer.
Also we are looking for a Team Leader to manage the small team of Resettlement Officers. For the Team Manager you will need experience of managing a team who are providing the above services.
