Reservation Agent

Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh by the Unlimited Collection

Seeking a charming and engaging Reservations Agent with a passion for service excellence. You will report to the Reservations Manager, supporting or working towards providing our guests with memorable experiences of the city.

Responsibilities

• Receive lodging booking requests and enquiries daily via telephone, emails and chat, handling them in a professional and efficient manner.
• Ensure that accurate information is entered into the PMS's (Property Management System) for bookings.
• Manage all enquiries in accordance with Company's standards and procedures.
• Understand and exhibit a clear and comprehensive knowledge of the hotel, the facilities and the local area to exceed our guests' expectations when booking.
• Respond to and deal with enquiries through all channels within the specified time limits for the team.
• Work towards maximising revenue through up-selling and cross-selling.
• Effectively communicate with other departments.
• Perform all other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

• Fluent in verbal and written English language.
• Hospitality related qualification preferred but not essential.
• Opera PMS experience desirable (full training given).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Previous experience of handling customer complaints/requests desired.
