Research Officer
Central London (with hybrid working)

Our client is an independent charity working towards better education.

They achieve this by supporting educators and institutions to enable better practices and generate research that supports their efforts with results that closes the educational gap and benefits children of all ages.

They are now looking for a Research Officer to join them on a full-time basis, for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Role

As a Research Officer, you will be part of a growing internal research team focused on reviewing and synthesising existing academic research.

Contributing to our client's wider research agenda, you will communicate the efficacy of educational approaches to teachers and use the data and results to inform future grant-making.

You will conduct systematic reviews and meta-analyses on key educational topics, supporting the development of a strong evidence infrastructure, and ensuring the quality of research publications.

Additionally, you will:

- Support internal evidence review teams
- Conduct quality assurance on the evidence standards and clarity of key publications
- Support the production of guidance reports
- Contribute to the development of the Teaching and Learning Toolkit
- Explain evidence to a range of audiences

About You

To be considered as a Research Officer, you will need:

- An understanding of evidence methods and standards
- A strong understanding of statistics and data analysis
- The proven ability to monitor, analyse and evaluate education research
- An awareness of different methods for synthesising research
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- To be a strong advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion
- A degree level qualification in a relevant field
