Job Description
The Research Lead will be responsible for providing academic leadership across this multi-country, multi-partner initiative. You will: (1) ensure that all academic partners engage in methodologically robust research by contributing to the design of studies at the outset and by providing oversight as work is carried out; (2) lead ideation, execution, and manuscript drafting for research produced by the PATH secretariat; (3) serve as one of the primary external spokespeople for the project to government stakeholders, and other key partners. In parallel, you will have programme-wide responsibilities, including contributing to business development (i.e., building out PATH's climate and health portfolio).This is a cross-cutting role that requires strong project leadership skills, political and cultural sensitivity, and the ability to manage a global academic consortium undertaking complex research. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with donor requirements, ethics approvals, and data protection standards. Programme-Wide Responsibilities Required Skills & Experience PhD (or equivalent experience) in a subject at the intersection of climate and health.At least 5+ years of experience managing large, multi-country health climate & health-related programmes.Demonstrated ability to coordinate diverse academic stakeholders across sectors and geographies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a track record of academic publications in the space of climate and health research.Experience working with ministries of health, meteorological services, or other government institutions in LMICs. Familiarity with digital health systems (e.g., DHIS2), climate data services, or health information systems. Experience managing consortia with academic, NGO, and private-sector partners. Prior experience in Pakistan, Malawi, or comparable LMIC settings. We know great candidates won't always meet every listed qualification.
