Research Fellow in Accounting and Finance (BUSAT1006)

The University of Leeds is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Accounting and Finance within Leeds University Business School. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality, impactful research in a vibrant academic environment recognized for its excellence in business and management studies.

The successful candidate will work as part of an established research team, contributing to ongoing projects in accounting and finance. Responsibilities include undertaking independent and collaborative research, developing and applying appropriate methodologies, analyzing complex data, and producing high-quality academic outputs suitable for publication in leading journals. The role also involves supporting research grant applications, engaging with academic and external stakeholders, and contributing to the broader research culture of the School.

The position provides an opportunity to work within a dynamic, research-intensive environment, with access to strong institutional support and networks. The post holder will be expected to contribute to knowledge dissemination, including presenting findings at academic conferences and seminars, and may also support teaching-related activities where appropriate.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.

Required expertise/skills
Candidates should demonstrate strong research capabilities in accounting and finance, including experience in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods. A track record of, or clear potential for, high-quality academic publications is essential. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in relevant research tools and statistical software, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a research team are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Salary details
£37,099 to £44,263 per annum
