Research Associate in Lymphatic Biology

Imperial College London is seeking to appoint a Research Associate in Lymphatic Biology to join a leading research programme within the National Heart and Lung Institute. The position is focused on advancing understanding of lymphatic vascular biology and its role in human disease, contributing to cutting edge translational and fundamental research.
The successful candidate will work within a dynamic and collaborative laboratory environment, contributing to projects investigating lymphatic vessel development, function, and associated pathologies. The role will involve designing and conducting experiments using in vitro and in vivo models, applying molecular and cellular biology techniques, and contributing to high impact research outputs. The post holder will also be expected to analyse and interpret experimental data, maintain accurate records, and contribute to publications in peer reviewed journals.
Additional responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, mentoring junior researchers or students where appropriate, and supporting the overall research objectives of the group. The role offers opportunities for professional development and engagement with a vibrant academic research community.
Eligibility Criteria- A PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as vascular biology, cell biology, molecular biology, or a closely related field
- Strong background in biomedical research with evidence of independent research capability
- Experience working in a laboratory based research environment
- Expertise in molecular and cellular biology techniques
- Experience with experimental models relevant to vascular or lymphatic biology
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Track record of scientific publications or contributions to research outputs is desirable
Salary Details: £43,003 to £46,297 per annum
