Research and Innovation Office Administrator

37.5 hours per week

(Part-time hours and job share opportunities would be considered for this role)

About the Role
  • Deliver high quality administrative coordination across the Research and Innovation Office, facilitating a broad range of research and knowledge exchange activities for staff and students and servicing key meetings and groups
  • Act as an initial point of contact for students, staff and visitors, ensuring enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently
  • Coordinate the administration of the University's ethics processes, working closely with the Chair and members of the Ethics Committee
  • Assist with the preparation, submission and monitoring of research governance requirements, financial records and related activities
  • Build effective relationships with external organisations, partners and collaborators to facilitate current and future research activities and events
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of administrative processes, systems and ways of working across the Research and Innovation team
About You
  • An organised, proactive and motivated individual with an interest in developing a career in administration. You will enjoy managing a varied workload, maintaining efficient processes, delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a professional working environment
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy when handling a range of administrative tasks
  • A positive team player who can work effectively with colleagues while also taking ownership of allocated responsibilities and initiatives
  • A confident communicator who can establish effective working relationships with colleagues, students and external organisations
  • Eager to develop administrative experience within a higher education or research environment, with a willingness to learn new systems, processes and ways of working
  • Comfortable using digital systems and technology to manage information, coordinate activities and maintain accurate records
