Job Description

Sometimes, it's the little things a friendly word, a steady hand, someone who listens As a Relief Support Worker, you'll be that someone. You'll support adults facing challenges like addiction, homelessness or poor mental health helping them feel safe, respected and supported, one shift at a time.

What will my day look like?

  • Checking in with people emotionally and practically
  • Following support plans and offering help with medication or appointments
  • Helping someone find their feet again after a difficult time
  • Supporting basic household tasks or encouraging healthy routines
  • Recording notes clearly and being a thoughtful part of the team

Is experience essential?It's great if you've worked in care, but just as important is your approach:

  • You're kind, calm and supportive under pressure
  • You've got good boundaries and a professional attitude
  • You're willing to learn and value working as part of a team
  • You either hold or are working towards your SVQ Level 2

This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
