Overview of role

UPMC - Sports Surgery Clinic is looking to hire a Relief Staff Nurse on Inpatient Ward. Candidates must have experience in a hospital setting, a relevant nursing qualification and be registered with An Bord Altranais on the General Division of the live register and eligible to work in Ireland.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be placed on a panel and offered shifts according to the needs of the department. This would suit an applicant looking for a flexible working arrangement.

Qualifications & Experience Experience

• At least 3 years of previous surgical ward experience in a hospital environment.
• Previous orthopaedic experience desirable but not necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail.
• Ability to identify potential difficulties and formulate solutions.
• Computer literate.
• Good character.
• Garda Vetting required for this position.
