We are currently recruiting for a Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix (RMX) to join our fantastic Readymix team based within the East Midlands Readymix materials business. This role will be predominantly based around Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire but will also include Plants in Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire. The role is therefore easily accessible whether you live in Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Measham, Tamworth, Hinkley, Derby, Burton upon Trent or across the surrounding areas. Role Responsibility Reporting to the Production Manager the role of Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix is an operational role and the suitable candidate will support the RMX Production Manager in managing and being accountable for the operations within a cluster of Readymix Plants. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role of Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix with delivery to customer needs with performance improvement being key. The Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix will also be responsible for: Supporting the RMX Production Manager in the management of plant compliance with business policies and procedures Overseeing all aspects of daily production including operational costs and controlling stocks Batching concrete to meet customer needs and operating the plant to deliver optimum productivity, efficiency, quality and performance to required standards Liaise with Distribution Team to ensure materials are delivered, loaded and dispatched efficiently and accurately Support and participate in all performance improvements and ensure initiatives are implemented in line with best practice Working closely with Readymix Technical Teams to ensure quality control of all products Supervising on site team, ensuring the site is operated safely, meeting legislative compliance and company health and safety procedures Ensuring maintenance work on plant and equipment is carried out safely and effectively liaising with line management, suppliers and contractors as required Key Stakeholders: RMX Production Manager, RMX Operations Manager, External Account Managers, Commercial Managers, Plant Supervisor, Distribution Team, Contract Hauliers, Credit Control Team. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for the role of Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix will already have experience in plant operations and preferably within a Ready Mix / Aggregates environment with a working knowledge of production processes.
