Relief Pharmacist - Career Pathway to becoming a Stakeholder
Location: Multiple sites across West Wicklow, Kildare, Laois, Westmeath and Co Dublin.
Position Type: Part Time (between 3 & 4 days per week)
About the Role
Are you a qualified pharmacist with ambition of growing into a leadership or stakeholding role? McGreals are currently recruiting a Relief Pharmacist to join our team and work across our various community pharmacies. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and to build up your knowledge & skills which will be required for a Stakeholding Pharmacist role in the future.

Key Responsibilities- Delivering high-quality patient care.
- Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with legal and professional standards.
- Provide advice on medications, including dosage, side effects and interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
- Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Supervise and support the pharmacy team.
- Deliver additional pharmacy services (e.g., vaccinations, health screenings where applicable)
Managing the day-to-day operations of the dispensary and store, including:
- Stock control
- Paperwork and administrative duties
- Claim verification and submission
- Store opening/closing duties
- Fully qualified and registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
- Minimum 1-year experience in community pharmacy (preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised, capable of working efficiently under pressure
- Empathetic and professional in dealing with patients
- Strong leadership qualities and ability to motivate a team
- Clear career pathway to Stakeholding Pharmacist within the McGreals Group
- Transport provided between locations
