Relief Personal Assistant - Kelso - 3124

An elderly gentleman living in Kelso is looking for a kind and reliable Relief Personal Assistant to join his small, established team. This role provides flexible, as needed support to help cover annual leave, sickness, and other staff absences, ensuring comfort, safety, and a good quality of life at home.

Hours are offered on a relief basis. Shifts may include visits to assist with personal care, medication support, prepare and serve meals. Advance notice of shifts will be provided whenever possible.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including support with showering and dressing
• Assist with medication prompting and basic record keeping
• Prepare and serve light meals and drinks
• Offer friendly companionship and conversation throughout visits
• Work as part of a small, supportive team to maintain consistent care

Skills & Experience

• Experience in personal care or support work desirable but not essential
• Training can be provided for the right candidate

Terms

• Location: Kelso
• Hours: Relief / Bank basis - variable hours to cover staff leave and absences
• Pay Rate: £14.55 per hour
• Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
• Probationary Period: 3 months

Flexibility and reliability are important, although shift availability can be discussed with the employer.
