Job Description

Selecta is the largest provider of unattended self serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, delivering a national service in the UK to roughly 3,500 businesses across diverse venues.

This role is for a Relief Mobile Merchandiser/Joy Ambassador, visiting multiple client sites daily to restock, clean, and maintain coffee or vending machines, and serve as a friendly client point of contact.

Responsibilities
  • Fill and clean all vending machines to company guidelines at all times.
  • Complete stock and cash controls across machines and on company vans.
  • Fix occasional machine faults (e.g., cup jams, blocked mixing bowls) and report faults to the Service Desk.
  • Report accidents, unfit foods and customer complaints to the Area Manager or Service Desk on the same day.
  • Provide training to new starters and team members who need upskilling.
  • Maintain high quality customer care in a courteous manner.
  • Carry out regular audits and quality checks on Retail Merchandisers' machines as instructed by the Area Retail Manager.
  • Share required follow up actions with the Retail Merchandiser and Area Manager.
  • Report machines below Automatic Vending Association hygiene standards to the Area Manager.
  • Follow all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Be flexible and responsive to changes; maintain presentability at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Right to work permanently in the UK.
  • Good customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machine faults.
  • Ability to travel to multiple client sites and manage a mobile schedule.
  • Willingness to undergo training and obtain certifications in Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and Fresh Food Handling.
