The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is essential to our operations - responsible for keeping vital machinery running at all times. As an RME Technician, you will maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while adhering to Health and Safety best practices. Your role will help ensure colleague safety and prevent machine downtime. Our RME Technicians enhance equipment availability and quality, and work to improve the operational environment.
Key job responsibilities- Perform proactive and preventative maintenance on various site equipment
- Conduct reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
- Utilize the latest tools to maximize equipment effectiveness
- Maintain all health and safety policies and practices
- Support the development and progression of on-site apprentices
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and implement best practices across EU sites
Based on-site, RME Technicians respond quickly to machinery issues. They perform planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates safely. They also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigate issues, and implement solutions swiftly. Additionally, they suggest long-term improvements.
Working alongside senior colleagues, they undertake daily maintenance tasks and liaise with contractors for external expertise. They work on various shifts to support our sites around the clock, enabling Amazon to deliver at our renowned speed.
PODSTAWOWE KWALIFIKACJE- Completed a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering field
- Relevant experience as a qualified engineer
- Experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
- Proficiency in the local language, both verbal and written
- Experience in condition-based monitoring
- Experience working with print and apply machines
- Experience in fault-finding and maintaining conveyor or automation systems
