For the Facility Management & Engineering team in Haarlem we are looking for an experienced Reliability Engineer.


Welcome in our team

Facilities Management is an integrated service department responsible for a wide array of essential services that ensure the smooth operation of buildings and site premises. This includes the maintenance of technical assets such as HVAC systems, compressed air, vacuum systems, potable and purified water, sewage, and electrical systems. Additionally, the department oversees soft services like catering, cleaning, security, waste management and pest control. By collaborating closely with service providers, the team focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and continuously improving service delivery. This holistic approach not only maintains the physical infrastructure but also fosters a safe and comfortable environment for all users.


About the role

In this impactful role, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and reliability of the technical assets within Facility Management. Together with the Maintenance Engineers, you will work on developing and maintaining a multi-year asset reliability plan. Your efforts will focus on ensuring that Facility Management-owned assets operate at optimal life cycle costs, enhancing their performance and reliability. You will report directly to the Associate Director of Maintenance and Operations.


Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Co-develop and maintain the asset management program (MJOP).
  • Support the NEN 2767 asset condition assessment program.
  • Contribute to multi-year maintenance budgeting and capital planning.
  • Participate in initiatives to reduce the site's CO2 footprint.
  • Prepare capital request documents and business cases for projects.
  • Develop standardized work methods for asset maintenance.
  • Conduct periodic equipment reviews, risk assessments, and ensure proper maintenance of technical documentation.


Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with SAP PM, NEN2767, ISO55000 preferred.
  • Passion for Lean and continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English.
