Reliability Based Systems Engineering Support

This Reliability Engineering vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop and grow their skills and knowledge within a thriving organisation. The job holder will be engaged in a wide variety of Systems Engineering activities covering the entire engineering lifecycle.
Specific experience FMEA and FMECA
ResponsibilitiesAs a reliability support engineer the role may include but is not limited to the following types of activities centred on reliability analysis whilst working alongside in support of design teams.
- Reliability analysis (typically predictions, FMECA and Critical Items Lists).
- Reliability based hazard analysis
- Root cause analysis
- development of reliability programmes
- Degree level qualification an engineering or technical subject.
- A lower qualification would be acceptable for example HNC/HND should the candidate be able to demonstrate significant demonstrable experience in lieu.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to modify the message to pitch at all levels of the organisation
- A thorough and methodical approach to work with high quality and accuracy
- The ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- The ability to interpret and produce technical documentation, such as SOR, SOW & trade studies
- Part stress reliability prediction using Mil-Hdbk-217 and FIDES (new projects increasingly using FIDES). Understanding of predictions for mechanical items necessary for some equipment.
- FMECA skills for complex electronic and electro mechanical equipment.
- Critical Item List preparation.
- Use of Windchill
- Use of reliability tool sets.
- Engineering based experience, also as a reliability engineer.
- Defence experience would be an advantage
- SC Cleared
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work on the client site at Stevenage minimum 3 days per week
- Ability and willingness to travel to and work on the client site at Filton as required
