Job Description

Elevate your veterinary nursing career and join a forward-thinking small animal practice that values the expertise and well-being of its team. With two branches embracing a multicultural environment and a wide spectrum of experience, this practice is a hub for those passionate about animal care and innovation.

At the Halesowen branch, embrace the diversity of treating dogs, cats, and small furries alongside a skilled team, including vets specialising in Dentistry and Ultrasonography. Meanwhile, the Oldbury branch operates as a 24 hour hospital, offering exposure to complex cases and a chance to work with a head vet renowned for expertise in bull breeds and a registered Cambridge BOAS assessor.

The practice is in search of a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to enhance a team comprising 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 7 RVNs/SVNs, and 2 kennel assistants. This role promises a fulfilling career with a focus on high standards of inpatient care, surgical assistance, and exemplary client communication.

The role involves a 5 day work week (with part time options available), and no out of hours commitments. It includes a 1 in 4 Saturday rota, with a day off in lieu, ensuring ample time for personal pursuits.

The successful candidate will enjoy:

  • A salary of up to £35,000 per annum, complemented by a work life balance with 6 weeks' annual leave.
  • A generous £1,500 CPD allowance is provided, along with support for certificate pursuits, VDS cover, RCVS fees, and a pension scheme (5% Employee/3% Employer).
  • Additional perks include discounted staff pet care.

Applicants must be fully qualified RVNs with a commitment to excellence, possessing strong communication and organisational skills. The ability to thrive within a team and support colleagues is paramount, as is adherence to professional dress code and appearance policies.

This practice is not just offering a job but a chance to be part of a community that invests in its people and technology, ensuring both personal growth and the highest standard of animal care. Join a team where harmony and innovation go hand in hand, and your contribution is truly valued.
