Registered Veterinary Nurse - Part-Time

Mansion Hill Veterinary Practice, Middleton Cheney, Banbury, South East

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Mansion Hill Vets on a part time basis.

Here at Mansion Hill Vets, we have a close knit team of 2 veterinary surgeons, 3 registered veterinary nurses (including a senior nurse), 1 animal care assistant and 2 receptionists. We are a friendly, village based practice with a loyal client base, offering a varied caseload including consultations, surgery, dentistry with a visiting dental specialist, and front of house responsibilities.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You'll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• Part time - 23.5 hours per week
• Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - 9:00am to 5:00pm
• 1:4 Saturdays - 8:00am to 12:00pm
• No out of hours

General Responsibilities

• Performing minor surgeries and providing post operative care
• Assisting in theatre and monitoring anaesthesia
• Triaging emergency cases
• Dispensing medications
• Supporting owners and providing advice on all aspects of animal care

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
