Responsibilities
  • Taking responsibility for the well being of our residents and ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
  • Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals.
  • Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans for each of our residents.
  • Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to the relevant standards, policies and legislation.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role
  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for managing the unit and carrying out clinical duties in the home.
  • Experience overseeing care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating individual care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team.
  • Experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
  • Capable of offering clinical guidance for care teams, crucial in supporting CQC tasks.
  • Ability to build connections with residents and their families, providing kindness, support and care.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills to hand over clinical issues to team members and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong critical thinking, confident, self reliant and able to manage care staff while remaining calm during emergencies, especially when working alone at night.
