Nurses in General Practice enhance community health and equity, providing advanced care within multidisciplinary teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to join us at The Doctors Marshlands to contribute to clinical excellence and community health improvement. You will work alongside skilled colleagues, supported by dedicated medical center leadership.

As a Green Cross Health practice, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work at other Green Cross practices in Christchurch if interested.

This is a casual position, working on an as-needed basis.

We are looking for a casual nurse to support our friendly practice during periods of short-staffing. The successful candidate will be a registered nurse with experience in General Practice, available to work casual shifts at short notice. The practice is open between 8 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A current New Zealand practicing certificate with prior experience in a medical centre (desirable)
• Competent in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care
• Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi
• Willing to continually learn and improve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong rapport with team members
• Ideally hold a current CPR certificate
• Immunisation and smear taker certificates are desirable but not essential
• Computer literate
