Exciting Opportunity: Band 5 Registered Nurse - Gynaecology & Women's Services, NHS Lanarkshire. Are you passionate about delivering high-quality, patient centred care? What we'll need you to bring
  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
  • The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have
  • Educated to degree level or training undertaken post registration courses.
  • Evidence of CPD e.g. Flying
  • Start, meeting PREP standards
  • Previous Registered Nursing position.
  • Previous experience in a surgical, gynaecology or sexual health environment.
  • Evidence of post registration skills e.g. IV Drug therapy, cannulation and phlebotomy
  • Evidence of positive role
  • Modelling
  • Ability to use NHS Patient Management Systems.
Contract type
  • Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months.
  • Full time
  • Various hours

Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Gynaecology Services within University Hospital Wishaw.

The working pattern for this role will be days/nights/weekends.
