Job Description

Halcyon House, 55 Cable St, Formby, Liverpool L37 3LU, UK

For almost 70 years, Abbeyfield Living Society has been a leading provider of housing and care for older people across England. Our work is guided by five core values - Care, Compassion, Community, Integrity and Excellence - and we are proud of the difference our teams make every day in the lives of residents, colleagues and local communities.

We are now looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the bank at Halcyon House, a nursing home based in Formby.

The Role

Registered Nurse - Bank. Location: Halcyon House, 55 Cable Street, Formby, L37 3LU. Pay: £25.65 p/h.

This is an opportunity to join our nursing staffing bank, where you will enjoy the flexibility to choose which shifts you wish to work.

So if you share our passion for providing top quality clinical care in a great working environment, we would love to hear from you. Working alongside a dedicated team of nursing professionals, you will be at the forefront of clinical care provision; contributing to the promotion of high quality care, meeting CQC requirements, ensuring residents are treated with respect and dignity, and lead fulfilling lives.

You'll use your clinical knowledge and expertise to develop and deliver tailored care plans for each of our valued elderly residents. You will pride yourself in taking personal responsibility for observing and assessing, and administering appropriate treatments and medications.

In line with your casual (bank) worker assignment agreement, we offer competitive pay benchmarked regularly, and in line with those of our employed staff in similar roles. Depending on how many hours you work, you will accrue leave at an equivalent rate of 31 days paid leave in a full calendar year, inclusive of bank/public holidays (pro rata).

About You

As a professionally qualified nurse, you'll have a relevant degree or diploma, be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), with a current Personal Unique Identification Number (PIN). You will also need knowledge of CQC regulations. Ideally you'll have experience working in elderly care, but at the very least, you will have a deep understanding of the clinical and psychological needs of older people.
