Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the well being of residents, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are met.
• Co coach and guide the team, providing formal and informal training programmes for colleagues and care professionals.
• Carry out assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans for each resident.
• Monitor work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies and legislation.

Key Skills / Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin, responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties and providing ongoing clinical guidance.
• Experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
• Confidence in providing clinical guidance for care teams, especially for CQC tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills, building connections with residents and families.
• Effective communication and reporting skills for handovers to other team members and health professionals.
• For night shifts, enhanced skills are required to ensure patient safety while working alone.
