Children's Home (EBD) Registered Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a nurturing Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's home in Wiltshire, Swindon. This role would suit an ambitious leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring every child receives the stability, support, and guidance they deserve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a residential children's home in line with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards
  • Create and maintain a safe, stable, and child-centred environment focused on positive outcomes
  • Inspire, support, and develop a compassionate and resilient staff team through effective leadership and mentoring
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times
  • Drive high standards of care, behaviour support, and therapeutic practice across the service
  • Ensure robust care planning, risk management, and placement matching processes are consistently maintained
  • Build positive relationships with families, local authorities, external professionals, and stakeholders
  • Monitor home performance, compliance, and quality assurance to achieve and maintain strong Ofsted outcomes
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, rotas, and resources effectively
  • Promote a culture of empathy, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the home
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential setting
  • Strong working knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding legislation
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
  • Proven ability to lead teams and support children with emotional and behavioural needs
