Children's Home Registered Manager
Salary: From £55,000 per annum, depending on experience (+ bonus package)

Relocation support available for the right candidate

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a small, nurturing children's home. With a strong child-first ethos, the home provides a safe, family-like environment where young people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive. Operating with a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach (including PACE), the service focuses on resilience, growth, and positive outcomes.

This opportunity is suited to an established Registered Manager or a proven Deputy Manager ready to step up and take ownership of a service, bringing leadership, expertise, and vision.

Core Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day management of the home including staffing, rotas, budgets, health and safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people
  • Lead on care planning and placement reviews, guaranteeing individualised, child-centred support
  • Manage safeguarding and risk proactively across complex situations
  • Build a "can-do" culture, supporting staff to use de-escalation, positive reinforcement, and restorative practice
  • Recruit, develop, and motivate a skilled staff team aligned with the home's ethos
  • Drive quality assurance processes including Regulation 44 visits, Regulation 45 reports, Ofsted readiness, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain strong multi-agency relationships with local authorities, health, education, and therapeutic partners
