Job Title: Regional Publishing and Key Account Propositions Director

Salary: Competitive

Location: Cambridge, UK or Madrid, Spain

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - 35 hours per week

About the role

As part of the Propositions senior leadership team, you will lead strategic initiatives that support market expansion and customer growth. You will oversee the development of new and adapted learning materials and assessments, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse learners and deliver measurable impact.

You will significantly contribute to the business's growth strategy, ensuring that English offerings meet the unique needs of new markets and segments, thereby expanding our reach, enhancing our competitive edge and delivering on our significant commercial ambitions over the next five years.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead strategic growth:
    • Develop and deliver regional publishing and key account strategy and business plans aligned with our Affordable and Accessible strategy, ensuring commercial success and long-term impact.
  • Expand into new markets:
    • Identify emerging opportunities and lead proposition development tailored to local needs, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate for success:
    • Partner with Commercial, Technology, and Core Portfolio teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet customer expectations and drive innovation.
  • Use insights to inform strategy:
    • Commission and apply market research, competitor analysis, and impact studies to guide decision-making and validate proposition effectiveness.
  • Manage product lifecycles:
    • Oversee the full lifecycle of propositions, ensuring sustained growth, timely evolution, and effective retirement of products.

About you

You are a strategic and commercially minded leader with a deep understanding of educational publishing or EdTech. You thrive in dynamic environments and are motivated by the opportunity to make a global impact.

You are someone who can lead with vision, build strong partnerships, and deliver results in complex international contexts. You will be confident navigating ambiguity and driving innovation.

You will bring:

  • Proven experience in senior leadership within educational publishing or EdTech, especially in emerging markets.
  • Strong strategic planning and business development skills.
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management and proposition design.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • A passion for accessibility, affordability, and inclusive education.
