Regional Maintenance Manager
We're The Restaurant Group - TRG for short - and we're one of the UK's biggest hospitality businesses. For more than 40 years we've been serving millions of guests across iconic brands like Wagamama, Barburrito and Brunning & Price. From high-street favourites to buzzing airports, our diverse portfolio has something for everyone.
The Role
We're hunting for a Regional Maintenance Manager to keep our airport venues in peak condition across the Midlands, the North,Scotland and Northern Ireland. You'll be the go-to fixer, guardian of standards and champion of safe, seamless guest experiences.
Reporting to the Head of Projects & Maintenance, you'll spend 50 % of your time out in the field - inspecting, problem-solving and making sure every site is ready for its next rush of travellers. Expect plenty of variety, genuine ownership and the support of a tight-knit Facilities & Maintenance (F&M) crew who love seeing great hospitality run without a hitch.
What you'll be doing
- Keep the doors open: Deliver speedy, high-quality planned and reactive maintenance with minimal disruption.
- Own your contractors: Drive performance, value and accountability across third-party suppliers.
- Lead on safety & compliance: Stay audit-ready, meet every regulation, and champion best practice.
- Partner with Operations: Be the calm, solutions-focused ally for GMs, ROMs and airport stakeholders.
- Report & improve: Track performance, spot trends, and feed actionable insights back to the business.
- Stay hands-on: From site inspections and snagging to scoping future works, you'll be where the action is.
- Be on call: Share rota cover for out-of-hours escalations (evenings / weekends).
What you bring
- Solid maintenance experience - whether you're stepping up from Assistant Maintenance Manager or already run a region.
- Experience (or deep curiosity) in hospitality, leisure or airport environments.
- Confident contractor wrangling and a knack for balancing speed, quality and cost.
- Working knowledge of CAFM systems and strong financial awareness.
- Cool head under pressure and a solutions-first mindset.
- Full UK driving licence and readiness for regular travel with overnight stays.
- A collaborative, can-do attitude that fits TRG's people-powered culture.
What's in it for you
- Impact from day one: Your decisions keep our sites trading and our guests happy.
- Freedom & flexibility: Field-based autonomy, blended with supportive HQ touchpoints.
- Career runway: Learn from industry pros, gain airport-specific expertise and grow with TRG.
- People you'll like: Down-to-earth teammates who work hard, solve fast and have fun doing it.
- Travel covered: We'll pick up the tab for the miles (and flights) you rack up.
We believe brilliant hospitality starts with brilliant people. We're committed to building an inclusive workplace where every voice is valued, and we're proud to be a Disability Confident employer.
