Refocus Lead - West Coventry Academy

Overview

West Coventry Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Refocus Lead to join our pastoral team. This role focuses on supporting the personal development and wellbeing of our students, helping them thrive in a safe, respectful and supportive environment. The Refocus Lead will provide targeted behaviour support and lead the daily operations of our refocus provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the pastoral team to provide effective pastoral care for Years 7-11, ensuring all students can achieve in a safe and supportive environment
• Co ordinate the effective running of the Refocus Room
• Analyse data, monitor attendance, and liaise with home and school
• Provide support and advice to students, promoting their social care and personal development in line with health and safety policy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Experience working within a pastoral role or with students in a supporting role
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
• A commitment to supporting the learning and development of students
• A commitment to supporting the values and ethos of the school
