Foster Care Associates (The FCA) Referrals Officer

Location: Office-Based, Bridgend, Cymru South

Salary: £23,535.26 per annum

Responsibilities

1. Manage referrals received from local authorities and use key information and matching criteria to ensure placements are carefully matched to children's needs.
2. Use initiative and work independently to devise creative solutions to foster placement requests.
3. Serve as the first point of contact between local authorities, foster families and social workers.
4. Develop positive relationships with colleagues within and outside the agency through written and face to face communication.
5. Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation related to referrals and placements.

Qualifications

1. Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
2. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Previous experience in a children's services sector is an advantage but not essential.
4. Passion and motivation to make a difference to the lives of children and families.
5. Successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
