The role
The RedHat Pre-Sales Consultant will drive the pre-sales process by providing expert technical guidance, solution design, and strategic consulting to prospective clients. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of RedHat solutions, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in pre-sales activities. This role involves collaborating with sales teams, customers, and technical staff to effectively position RedHat solutions.
- Scoping and Sizing Opportunities: Collaborate with sales and clients to assess requirements and objectives, utilizing analytical skills to scope licensing opportunities aligned with client expectations and organizational capabilities.
- Solution Design and Proposal Development: Leverage deep RedHat knowledge to recommend tailored solutions, act as a trusted advisor, and clearly communicate the benefits of RedHat offerings.
- Sales Support and Collaboration: Support the sales cycle from discovery to proposal, identify cross-selling opportunities, and develop strategies to maximize revenue and client satisfaction.
- Margin Definition and Alignment: Work with sales to define pricing strategies, optimize margins, and remain competitive.
- Quoting for Strategic, Complex Requests: Prepare accurate quotes, coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure feasibility and competitiveness.
- Creation and Maintenance of Solution Collaterals: Develop and update sales materials, including presentations and case studies, reflecting the latest product features and success stories.

- Sales Processes and Awareness: Knowledge of sales methodologies and ability to navigate sales cycles.
