Location: South West England (single secure site, Full time on site)

Start: One role starting immediately in Q1; second role starting later in Q1
IR35: Inside - £DoE
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Full time on site

We are supporting a client in the South West and are looking for Red Hat SMEs with strong DevOps or Linux engineering backgrounds to join a secure, long-running programme. This work requires deep Red Hat/RHEL expertise and the ability to operate confidently in highly secure environments.

This opportunity is suited to engineers who have operated as Red Hat subject matter experts, with strong hands-on experience across automation, open-source tooling and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Red Hat/RHEL SME within a secure operational environment
• Deliver engineering support across Red Hat-based platforms and services
• Implement and support automation, CI/CD tooling and open-source technologies
• Troubleshoot, maintain and optimise Linux-based infrastructure
• Work collaboratively with other engineering and security teams on site
• Operate within strict security, compliance and governance standards

Essential Skills & Experience

• Deep, hands-on experience with Red Hat/RHEL (SME level)
• Strong background in DevOps engineering or Linux engineering
• Experience with automation, CI/CD and open-source technologies
• Proven ability to work in highly secure, sensitive environments
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Active clearance is essential (cannot sponsor or accept applicants without this)

Working Environment This role is fully on site at a secure location in the South West, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the work, remote or hybrid options are not available.
