REConnect Project Officer

Overview

Join us in reconnecting communities with Yorkshire's stunning marine and coastal environments.

Role and responsibilities

• Lead workstreams focused on connecting people to the coastline in North Yorkshire around the River Esk
• Support volunteers, manage project activities and promote sustainability through community engagement
• Collaborate with scientists, community leaders, volunteers and partner organisations to build relationships and drive delivery across multiple workstreams

Requirements and qualifications

• Strong understanding of Yorkshire's marine and coastal environments, and the wider social and economic issues affecting the Esk and Coastal Streams Catchment
• Experience in project development and delivery
• Skilled communicator with ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Resilient, proactive and confident working across multiple workstreams and adaptable to changing priorities

About REConnect

REConnect is a multi-strand programme led by North York Moors National Park and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. This strand of the project is led by Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership (YMNP), which is hosted by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
