- Core hours include regular unsocial hours (evenings and/or weekends) based on business need

Looking for a role where your day-to-day work truly matters? Our Client is hiring a Receptionist to be the first point of contact for visitors and telephone callers, while also delivering vital administration support in an office-based probation environment. If you're calm under pressure, confident with people, and dependable with processes, you could be a great fit.
What you'll be doing:- Welcome visitors and people on probation professionally, face to face, by telephone and email
- Log arrivals and departures, issue visitor passes/security fobs, and ensure the right staff member is notified
- Answer reception enquiries with clear, accurate information and route more technical queries to the appropriate manager
- Help diffuse potentially tense situations using tact and diplomacy, and escalate where additional support is needed
- Stay alert to safeguarding/risk concerns and take appropriate action, including raising concerns with the right person
- Manage building logistics: mail handling, ordering stationery/PPE, meeting room set up, deliveries, and booking support
- Support meeting room and event preparation, including event registration where required
- Handle travel warrants/bus fares and manage day to day petty cash duties
- Support Health & Safety and security: act as key holder, help with alarms/CCTV monitoring, evacuation support, and being a Fire Warden/First Aider where required
- Log building faults/incidents, escalates appropriately and make urgency decisions within guidelines
- Provide confidential, high level administrative support when needed, including updating files, producing documents, scanning/archiving sensitive data, and supporting operational teams
- A friendly, professional approach and confidence communicating with a wide range of people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ICT capability with proficiency across Microsoft Office applications
- Good situational awareness able to remain composed and act appropriately when situations escalated
