Receptionist

Hand Picked Hotels is a collection of 21 privately owned luxury country houses and coastal retreats, each hand picked for its individuality.

We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist at L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa, part of Hand Picked Hotels. The 4 AA Red Star L'Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa is located in St. Brelade's Bay in Jersey and offers a boutique beachside experience.

About the Role

The role of the receptionist is to deliver an exceptional guest experience, putting the guest at the heart of everything you do, through personalised and thoughtful service with care and attention to detail.

• You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of engagement with guests throughout their stay to make them feel at home, relaxed, and identify and create magical memories at every possible opportunity.
• In collaboration with the Front Office team you'll maintain regular and effective communication to ensure a seamless operation and be aware of all the day's activities.
• Provide the best guest experience, inspire, have fun and enjoy being part of our Hand Picked Team.

About You

• Knowledge and experience of working in a luxury four or five star hotel within a front office environment.
• Passionate about going above and beyond for guests, recognising and skilfully acting on opportunities to make the experience memorable through offering or suggesting appropriate hotel products and facilities.
• High level of emotional intelligence, able to anticipate guests' needs and deliver a Hand Picked experience.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Opera is desirable.
• Enthusiastic, willing approach, demonstrating problem solving skills and ability to find solutions to any scenario.
• Act calmly and professionally, maintaining a positive attitude even when under pressure.

• Competitive salary package of £30,388.80 per year plus a share of service charge.
