We are excited to recruit a Receptionist to work across our three practices in Orkney.

Full time hours over 4 days, 8 am 5:30 pm with no evenings or weekends. Part time hours also available. Pay: £14.26 per hour including island allowance. Benefits include Active Life Membership for you and your family. Parking is available at all sites.

Your Role

You will provide a professional reception service and ensure excellent patient care in line with our values. You will also play an important role in ensuring compliance with health and safety guidance.

• Creating a welcoming environment for patients that sets them at ease from the outset
• Maximising the use of the internal system (Software of Excellence) to ensure accurate patient records are maintained
• Answering the telephone, making appointments and collecting patient charges
• Maintaining practice reception cleanliness standards to ensure patient confidence in the quality of care they receive
• Managing the appointment book for all clinicians to ensure surgery utilisation and clinician productivity while meeting patient appointment needs

About You

• Relevant experience in a general practice environment is desirable
• Proven track record in a customer /patient focused reception environment is required
• Willing to demonstrate the highest levels of patient care
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Enthusiastic, with an appetite to learn and develop new skills
