Receptionist - Cosham Park House Surgery

We are currently looking for an experienced receptionist to join our team. If you can work under pressure to high standards, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and can deliver a high quality of care in a busy professional environment, we would like to hear from you!

We have one position available for 28.5 hours per week which will consist of a mixture of 7:45am starts and 6:30pm finishes.

Please note that there will also be the expectation of lone working.

Main duties of the job

To provide high quality reception and general office and administration tasks, relating to the Practice's provision of excellent primary healthcare and the smooth, effective running of the Practice.

Job responsibilities

To be a key member of the Practice reception team, working to ensure patients are greeted and navigated courteously and that all reception tasks and administration are completed within Practice policies in a timely manner.

Person Specification

Right to work within the UK without sponsorship from us.

Qualifications

• IT qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum GCSE in English and Maths (C / 4 Grade and above).
• NVQ Level 3 Customer Service / Business Administration.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to follow Practice procedure.
• Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and appearance.
• Able to work autonomously without direct supervision and recognise when a team approach is needed.

Experience

• Previous experience of more than 6 months in a customer focused role.
• Experience in a fast paced / busy working environment.
• Primary Care Experience.
• Experience of resolving high conflict situations.
