Reception Teaching Assistant Leeds

We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the LS11 area of Leeds. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and offers ongoing work, with a competitive daily rate of £95-£105, depending on experience. The successful candidate will support pupils in Reception, helping them settle into school life and develop key early learning skills through a mix of structured activities and play based learning.

The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong focus on early years development and pupil wellbeing. Staff work collaboratively to create a warm, engaging environment where children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn. The leadership team is supportive and values the important role Teaching Assistants play in fostering early development, encouraging curiosity, and building strong foundations for future learning.

• Support Reception pupils with phonics, early numeracy, and play based learning activities.
• Assist the class teacher in preparing engaging EYFS resources and maintaining routines.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and social development.
• Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and help them settle into the school environment.

• Experience working with EYFS or Reception aged children.
• A nurturing, patient, and engaging approach to early years support.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of EYFS principles and child centred learning.
