React Full Stack Developer

On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a React Full Stack Developer (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month Hybrid contract based several times a month in Exeter.

Note: SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be willing & eligible to undergo checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position, (and speed at which we require a postholder in situ), preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance

You will be responsible for writing clean, secure code following a test-driven approach. You can create code that is open by default and easy for others to reuse and you will deliver and integrate software to form a complete service.

Experience
. Operate the production services you build
. You have strong experience building modern web applications using React and can structure and maintain large-scale React codebases following best practices.
. You are proficient in TypeScript, using it to write clear, typed, maintainable code and to catch errors early during development.
. You have hands-on experience with AWS, including deploying, managing and monitoring production services using tools such as Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch or similar.
. You have a solid understanding of JavaScript, including ES6+ features, asynchronous programming, and writing testable, maintainable code.
. You are comfortable working in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivering value iteratively.
. You are able to lead development work across multiple related tasks or stories, guiding others and ensuring the right solutions are built.
. You have a good understanding of how systems fit together, and you are confident explaining architecture and design decisions to colleagues.
. You take responsibility for the code and services you build in production, including monitoring, support, and incident management.
. You actively seek out opportunities to improve system robustness, resilience, and stability, including fault handling, performance tuning, and automated testing.
