Rating Surveyor (Senior Surveyor, Associate or Partner)

Location: Birmingham
Salary: £45,000 - £100,000 basic salary plus benefits

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to minimise clients' business rates liabilities
• Manage empty property rates and apply for relevant reliefs
• Inspect and accurately measure properties for valuation purposesAnalyse evidence and assessments to determine appeal potential
• Prepare and submit high quality submissions as part of the Check, Challenge, Appeal (CCA) process
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery
• Contribute to team financial targets and explore new business opportunities
• Mentor and support junior colleagues as required

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS or equivalent), ideally with rating experience
• Proven track record in delivering rating advice and managing client portfolios
• Familiarity with rating software such as Riverlake, Analyse, RatesData, and Calcurate
• Strong communication, negotiation, and report writing skills
• Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial approach to business development
• Up to date knowledge of rating legislation, procedures, and appeals processes
