Job responsibilities
  • Deliver a high quality CT and/or MRI imaging service, ensuring patient safety and excellent clinical outcomes.
  • Take responsibility for the day to day coordination of the imaging department.
  • Act as deputy to the Imaging Manager, stepping in to lead the team in their absence.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop radiographers, helpers and students to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Lead by example, embedding Spire's values and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee equipment checks, compliance with safety regulations and support audit and quality assurance processes.
  • Support service planning and innovation, helping the department to meet patient and business needs.
What we're looking for - Core qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Radiography with HCPC registration.
  • Proven experience as a radiographer in an imaging department with CT and/or MRI expertise.
  • Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional development.
  • Demonstratable strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence to deputise for senior management.
Desirable qualifications
  • Previous experience in a team lead or managerial role.
  • Experience in private healthcare.
  • Involvement in audits, clinical governance, or service development.
  • MRI cardiac scanning experience.
