Job Description: Radiographer - Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital Radiology Permanent Full time 37.5 hours per week - On call required Competitive Salary, depending on experience

Main duties of the job

As a Radiographer, you will: help deliver our high quality diagnostic imaging service; experience a varied caseload in the department, on the ward and in theatre; work with leading practitioners and new practices, equipment and facilities; carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures; supervise and develop junior colleagues; ensure that what you do is delivered with sensitivity and compassion.

Nuffield Health Leeds Hospital is proud to have received an "Outstanding" rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), following an inspection in February 2017. The CQC highlighted that patient care was at the heart of the service and this is testimony to the commitment, skill and pride of the team. Our successful, purpose built hospital deals with complex surgery and a vast range of specialities involving some 300 consultants. There are 80 bedrooms, an 8 bed Level 3 critical care unit and 6 theatres (2 Stryker laparoscopic and 2 laminar flow). We are close to the city centre and central railway station.

Job responsibilities
  • Ability to work autonomously and coordinate/prioritise X ray/Fluoroscopy workload to maximise patient safety and imaging efficiency.
  • Enthusiastic, pragmatic and proactive professional; able to manage daily, weekly and monthly tasks/checklists and navigate peaks and troughs in workload.
  • Hardworking individual who thrives in both small modality based and larger department wide team efforts to achieve high quality work and patient satisfaction.
  • Keen interest in and/or a drive to further develop auditing skills as part of a robust yearly audit calendar across all modalities, focused on optimising patient dose and image quality.

Qualifications
  • Hold a BSc degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the HCPC registration requirements.
  • Post graduate qualification and excellent teamwork skills.
Experience
  • High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and a caring nature.
