Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment for both domestic and overseas candidates across hospitals, nursing homes, home care, and community care services.

We are currently recruiting a Radiographer for a leading hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental competency frameworks while maintaining high standards of imaging practice.
  • Participate in the on-call service as required to support continuous radiology services.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation protection principles including justification, optimisation (ALARA), and dose limits, in line with relevant legislation and safety standards.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and participate in quality assurance procedures, reporting any faults or issues to the appropriate senior staff.
  • Follow departmental protocols and the guidance of senior radiology staff to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of radiographic techniques and developments through ongoing training and continued professional development.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and organisation of the department and adhere to infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and promptly report any hazards or incidents that may affect safety.
  • Provide a high quality patient focused service, treating all patients with respect, dignity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and multidisciplinary teams while supporting quality improvement initiatives within the radiology department.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Registered with CORU or eligible for registration.
  • Previous post qualification experience in a Radiology Department is desirable.
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret scientific and technical journals, reports, and relevant documentation.
  • Strong ability to handle enquiries and respond professionally to patients, colleagues, and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey information clearly.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills, particularly in operating and understanding complex radiological equipment.
  • Ability to identify problems, analyse information, and draw accurate conclusions to support clinical decision making.
