R & Shiny Engineer

Whitehall Resources require an R & Shiny Engineer to work with a key client on a 6 month initial contract.

*This role will require on site work in Stevenage 2 days per week.

*Inside IR35.

R & Shiny Engineer

Your responsibilities:
. Design, develop, test and deploy interactive R Shiny web applications.
. Worked on R packages like Data.Table, dplyr, tidyr, ggplot2, shiny dashboard among others.
. Write clean, efficient and well documented R code, conduct R code reviews and R programming validation
. Implement unit tests and ensure the quality and performance of applications.
. Benchmark and optimize application performance.
. Identify inconsistencies and initiate resolution of data, analytical and reporting problems.
. Ensure applications are robust and reliable.
. Translate complex data analysis and visualization tasks into clear and user-friendly interfaces.
. Involving in Agile, DevOps & Automation of testing, build, deployment, CI/CD, etc.
. Understanding of testing strategies & frameworks (Understanding of BDD/Gherkin)

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
R Data structures (vectors, lists, matrices, dataframe)/Data manipulation and cleaning using dplyr/Data manipulation and cleaning using dplyr/Data visualization using ggplot2 (other plotting libraries)/working with different data formats (CSV, Excel, JSON, database)/Jenkins/GitHub/BDD frameworks/Agile ScrumDesirable skills/knowledge/experience.
