R&D Technician

We are working with a manufacturing client in Co. Galway who are looking to hire an experienced R&D Technician to join their team as they continue to expand. This is a permanent role with excellent opportunity to grow and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and test prototype systems for laboratory and field validation.
• Support engineering teams with functional, environmentaland durability testing.
• Validate hardware, software and system performance in real-world applications.
• Assemble and configure test equipment and support product verification activities.
• Perform diagnostics, fault findingand root cause analysis.
• Document test results, findingsand improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers and end users to gather product feedback.

Requirements

• Technical qualification in Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automationor related discipline.
• 2+ years' experience in electromechanical assembly, testing or similar environment.
• Experience working with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret test data and use measurement equipment.
• Basic understanding of software functionality and system testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Full driving licence required.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop.
